I personally use small ceramic bowls (found in petstores by food dishes). They can't be tipped over as easily as plastic ones.

I also use the small ceramic bowls from the pet store. So far, Lucy hasn't tipped them over, and they are the perfect size for her food and water.

the bowls clip over and then down on the wires for rabbits, spike can stand on the edge and they wont tip or even spill I was wondering if he would chew it, like the rabbits do ,(they have chewed to the bottom before) and if he did would it hurt him.

Hedgehogs don't usually chew excessively on plastics, or anything really. They'll taste it, but never enough to do any damage. However, if you do find he likes to chew on it, and manages to get pieces off, take the bowls away. Plastic is dangerous to an animal if they eat it.

I use ceramic crocks for Hemi. They're heavy, and she hasn't been able to tip them yet. She likes to stand in the bowl, or with her paws on the edge. They clean easily, and are dishwasher safe.

I also use ceramic bowls, a small one for the food and the one for the water is a little bigger. The first few weeks that I had Romeo he was even smaller than the tiny food bowl and liked to stand right inside it while eating his kibble. It looked so funny, especially when he got bigger and still insisted on doing the same thing but his butt was kind of hanging over the edge of the bowl!

He has not yet tipped over his dishes but he likes to drown his toys in the water bowl once in a while. Silly boy! :)

I use little ceramic bowls made by SuperPet that have little paws on them and come in different colors. This eay each boy has his own color- Bosco=Yellow, Murdoc=Blue, Herb=Purple ;)
