PTChins

Hi, I'm Monika and I got divorced to make room for all my animals - well, somebody had to go, and it certainly wasn't going to be me or the animals. That left the old man. . . :)
I'm an 8th grade Language Arts teacher for my day job, and I take care of my three kids, plethora of pets, and my mom, who has Parkinson's Disease and moved up here from Florida to live with us.
I've been kind of lurking in the background for a few weeks now and have finally decided to post an introduction. I fell in love with chinchillas when I bought my first one - Diego - about five years ago. I had always wanted a chinchilla ever since I was a little girl and saw one in a pet store taking a bath. I thought, and still think, that's one of the coolest things since sliced bread! Anyway, before too long I had six chins and I wasn't satisfied. I decided late last year to get into breeding and have since acquired a good quality breeding herd from some reputable breeders. I'm very excited about my new venture and have three chins expecting right now. . . :hyper:
I have learned a lot just reading the postings here, and am sure that I will continue to expand my knowledge base by continuing to do so.
Happy to "meet" you all!
